Catherine M. Ballard, Esq.
Bricker & Eckler, LLP

Catherine Ballard is a partner in the Bricker & Eckler Health Care group, with a practice focusing on the day-to-day operations of various health care facilities and their dealings with administrative agencies, private accrediting agencies and court proceedings.  Catherine received her B.A. from the University of Lousiville and J.D. summa cum laude from The Ohio State University.  Catherine has been recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America (health care law) since 1995, and an Ohio Super Lawyer since 2004 (including one of the Top 50 Ohio Women Lawyers, Top 50 Columbus Lawyers and Top 25 Columbus Women Lawyers).  She is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and a member and past president of Society of Ohio Healthcare Attorneys.  Catherine is an equestrian and enjoys the performing arts.

Jarrett Graham, MBA Citi

Jarrett Graham is a Senior Financial Analyst at Citi Global Transaction Service.  Jarrett earned a B.A. in Finance and Accounting from Franklin University and an MBA from Ashland University.  Jarrett is passionate about teaching, learning and helping others to surpass their limits and achieve their maximum potentials through mental and spiritual empowerment.  Jarrett enjoys writing, cooking, traveling and is an avid bowler.

Faythe Jackson

Faythe Jackson earned a B.A. in Sociology from Wright State University, with future plans to obtain a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling.  She is passionate about helping people who are physically challenged, like her, and increasing self- and public awareness about other types of physical disabilities.  Faythe currently volunteers in the elderly care unit at a local hospital and with a teacher, working with preschoolers.  Faythe enjoys reading, dance performances and movies.

Virginia B. McLymont, Esq. (Board Chair)
Diversified Investment Advisors

Virginia McLymont is Vice President of Technical Research and Plan Consulting at Diversified Investment Advisors.  Virginia earned BA and JD degrees at Capital University and Capital University Law School. She has over twenty years of experience in the retirement plan industry, previously holding a number of FINRA licenses and the APM ASPPA designation.  She has served on a number of boards, including the IsabelleRidgeway Nursing Home.  Virginia is a talented singer and plays a number of instruments, in addition to her love of music, she enjoys classic movies, traaveling, cooking and reading.

Ashandra D. McLymont (Board Treasurer)

Ashandra McLymont, co-founder, CFO and Program Director of Kya’s Krusade, runs its daily operations and oversees Music II Miracles.  She is a Senior Financial Analyst at Citi Global Transaction Services.  Ashandra is a graduate of Columbus School for Girls and Wellesley College, where she earned a dual B.A. in Economics and Psychology and was inducted into Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology.  She also holds a certificate in Nonprofit management from the University of Illinois, Chicago.  Ashandra’s innate love of learning and passions for business, community service and the empowerment of women, children with physical disabilities and minorities have cultivated her commitment to volunteering and social entrepreneurship.  In 2011, Ashandra was honored as a Jefferson Award finalist and one of six African-American Women who make a difference in the community by the City of Columbus.  Ashandra also enjoys writing, reading, the arts, event planning and design, cars and traveling.

Kylie M. Miles (Board Secretary)

Kylie Miles is the co-founder, CEO and Development Director of Kya’s Krusade and the mother of Kya, after whom the organization was named.  She is a graduate of Ohio Dominican University and is currently pursuing a degree to become a radiology technician.  Kylie oversees many of the organization’s community-based functions, including the children’s art tent at the Gahanna Creekside Blues and Jazz Festival. In addition to her administrative and Board responsibilities, Kylie maintains the Kya’s Krusade Facebook page and does public speaking engagements to local groups to increase the awareness of Arthrogryposis and speak about Kya’s Krusade.  In 2011, Kylie was one of six African American Women who make a difference in the community honored by the City of Columbus.  Kylie enjoys writing, movies and music.

Our Mission

Kya’s Krusade is a comprehensive resource center, serving children and families affected by physical disabilities, specializing in Arthrogryposis and other less publicized physical disabilities. We offer education and assistance for children from diagnosis through 18 years of age. We strive to form a diverse community network and provide opportunities to enable equal access to all available informational, emotional, medical and financial sources of support.
